  • When you can, please consider my QFI Chinnian request. From the camera metadata evidence, this accounts images appear to be own work. By the way Happy New Year! I have checked on google 'amsterdam time' and it currently says it is 1:38 AM New Years Day in the Netherlands while in my original native Malaysia, as well as Singapore, the Phillipines and Western Australia, it is already 8:38 AM in 2025. In the Malaysia, Singapore, Western Australia, etc time zone, they are 16 hours ahead of the Vancouver/Washington State and California time zone since it is only 4:38 AM New Years Eve. I know that you are a busy person. When you have a little time, please analyze my Martin Lewison request over here and see why the account was pit on a blacklist and if the reason given was justified. When there are 2082 of his images already on Commons, this suggests that there must have been a compelling reason. The question here...is whether the reason was justified or not. If not, perhaps it may be time to remove this account now and maybe wbayercom later in the future from the blacklist. In my opinion, if the flickr account is own work, I think it should not be blacklisted...but sadly I am not an Admin. All I know if....I have never uploaded any images from these accounts, I think. Hello Leoboudv! I have removed the two from the blacklist. I also checked out guano that you mention above. To me it seems like he added name of the photographer in the cases where his photos were deleted. For example on https://www.flickr.com/photos/97838323@N00/3264147579/ where it says "Photo by Adam Lau/Sea Shepherd Conservation Society" and "I tagged this group "photos and videos courtesy of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society". I uploaded them because I support Sea Shepherd. I". Photos should not be licensed freely but those that move the files to Commons should read the text before they move files here. I agree that it is a bit special with a blind photographer but I guess that he "just" have a very bad eyes because he also write that he can see things when he zoom in. --MGA73 (talk) 18:03, 5 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Michael,

Was this flickr account placed on the blacklist because of the photographer? I see a few photos in the blacklist "all under Medical" from this account like

But in the last image, the camera metadata gives the website of Ramin Mazur as the photographer BUT the flickr source says "© European Union, 2022 (Photographer: Ramin Mazur)" The camera metadata even says copyright holder is EU. Best, --Leoboudv (talk) 01:00, 26 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • I made a request over Here but the reason this account was placed on the blacklist must be analyzed...since the Admin who made the decision must have known it was an EU account. Dear MGA73, If you wish, you can order your bot to do a {{PD-author-FlickrPDM}} and {{Flickrreview}} for these images as most of them are PD US Government images anyway. Other images are like this set of 180+ images of KMK images such as this one File:KMK 6187 (51891763714).jpg---where I ordered a review....but there are too many is too many for me to order a review.
