Standing Your Redemptive Ground .. 1 John 2.1,2
« on: September 29, 2018, 18:05:51 »
The problem with yours or my sin of the past is the ungodly person who keeps reminding you of what you did. Hold to your redemptive ground. If you have truly and honestly asked the Lord for forgiveness; know that, through and by Jesus Christ, you are forgiven. Don't allow the gossip, harassment or criticism of the ungodly to bring you down to their level. Pass over them; but pray for them. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the assurance of salvation in your heart. Continue to read and know your Bible, attend the Christian Church (Hebrews 10.25), and worship Christ with your tithes and offerings. The ungodly will always criticize the truly sorry and repentive Christian for his or her past offense against the Lord. If you are one who has confessed and repented, but the ungodly continue to harass, gossip or criticize you, stand your redemptive ground.
1 John 2.1,2 says, "But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father.... Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."
